LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 6 -- The Arkansas Department of Education issued the following news release:
From teaching students how to read to helping them master complex math problems, teachers shape the future, one student at a time. In the last six years, student enrollment in first-time educator preparation licensure programs has declined by 58 percent. With the decline in the Arkansas teacher pipeline, there is a critical need for these essential foundation builders.
