WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jessie K. Liu, issued the following news release:
The owner of a tutoring and mentoring business and a former employee of the District of Columbia Public Schools have been indicted on federal charges alleging that they conspired to fraudulently bill the school system more than $200,000 for services that they falsely claimed had been provided to students with special needs.
