WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 -- The office of Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King announced today that the University of Southern Maine (USM) will receive $263,938 through the U.S. Department of Education's Veterans Upward Bound Program. This is the first time Maine has received this grant, which is designed to help veterans who are the first in their family to attend college develop the skills necessary to succeed . . .
