SEVIERVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 2 -- The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development issued the following news:

Music in Commons, featuring musicians from across East Tennessee, is a new, free music series happening 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and continuing each Friday in October at the Gazebo in downtown Sevierville.

The Music in Commons concert series kicks off with local favorite Boogertown Gap that specializes in the music played by early settlers of the Great Smoky Mountains.
