JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 15 -- Gov. Bill Walker, R-Alaska, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, Alaska is home to many deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens, and the unique challenges associated with deafness and hearing impairment can make otherwise simple exercises, such as social activities, seeking education and employment, and enjoying recreation, difficult; and
WHEREAS, each Alaskan plays a role in making our state a place where the challenges of deafness and hear . . .
