WASHINGTON, Sept. 14 -- Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Ga., issued the following statement regarding his opposition to the fiscal 2018 omnibus appropriations package (H.R. 3354):
"I was unable to support this legislation due to its drastic across-the-board funding reductions and other harmful provisions. This legislation would cut vital non-defense agencies to $5 billion below Budget Control Act levels. This includes reductions to infrastructure and economic development, educati . . .
