OLYMPIA, Wash., Sept. 11 -- The Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction issued the following news release:
Spokane educator Mandy Manning was named Washington's 2018 Teacher of the Year at an awards ceremony today at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in Seattle.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal congratulated the Regional Teachers of the Year and announced Manning as the Teacher of the Year.
