AMHERST, Mass., Sept. 11 -- The University of Massachusetts's Amherst campus issued the following news:

Polymer scientist Alejandro L. Briseno is part of a team that recently received a four-year, $1.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to explore ways to "deploy advanced materials at least twice as fast as possible today at a fraction of the cost," as NSF explains.
