JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 7 -- Gov. Bill Walker, R-Alaska, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, Alaska seniors, the fastest growing age demographic representing 17 percent of our state's total population, live longer and remain in better health today than their predecessors; and
WHEREAS, enhanced health and improved medical treatments have translated into far fewer deaths from acute causes overall; however, death by falls has increased more than 250 percent for . . .
