NEA Issues Statement on Trump Considering Ending DACA Program

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- The National Education Association issued the following statement by President Lily Eskelsen Garcia on reports that President Trump is considering ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program:
"The idea that the administration would even consider breaking apart families and putting children in danger by eliminating DACA is shameful and yet another example of the deference to white supremacy that has been repeatedly exhibited by the Trump Whit . . .
