TOPEKA, Kan., Aug. 24 -- The Kansas Department of Education issued the following news:
Kansas received more than $1.3 million in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the Kansas Volunteer Commission (KVC) announced Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.
The total amount Kansas received from CNCS, which is the federal agency for volunteering and service programs, is $1,351,244, KVC executive director Jessica Noble said.
