Conaway & Benson Bill To Allow Military Personnel Serving Overseas To Get Married In NJ Signed Into Law

TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 18 -- The New Jersey Assembly's Democrats issued the following news release:

Legislation sponsored by Assemblymen Herb Conaway, M.D. and Daniel Benson that would make it possible for military men and women serving overseas to marry their significant other back home has been signed into law.

The law (A-4170) authorizes marriage and civil union by proxy for men and women in the military whose service in a war or conflict prevents them from app . . .
