Funding Bill Ends Reliance on 'Continuing Resolutions,' Cuts Overall Spending While Boosting Troop Pay

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 -- Rep. Scott Rigell, R-Va. (2nd CD), issued the following news release:

Representative Scott Rigell (VA-02) today voted for, and the House passed 296-121, a bipartisan, bicameral government funding agreement that cuts discretionary spending for the second year in a row while providing stability for the defense industry and a military pay raise.
