WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 -- The Recording Industry Association of America issued the following news release:
Canadian hip hop act Drake's second album, Thank Me Later, quickly certified Platinum this summer, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)'s July G&P count. Drake fans promptly purchased more than one million copies of his June release to earn the Universal Motown artist his very first Platinum album award. Drake's first album, So Far . . .
