NEW YORK, Aug. 24 -- The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the following news release:
The Health Department today urged New Yorkers traveling to tropical settings to take special precautions to avoid dengue fever, a mosquito-borne illness that is occurring at high levels in many parts of the world, including the Caribbean and South and Central America.
