MADISON, Wis., Aug. 10 -- The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs issued the following news release:

Since Sept. 11, 2001 every unit in the Wisconsin National Guard has contributed forces to the global war on terror - many more than once.
According to the chief of the National Guard Bureau, the National Guard likely will continue to play a significant role in overseas contingency . . .
