NORAD Commander Announces Winner of Partridge-Slemon Award

PETERSON AFB, Colo., Aug. 10 -- The North American Aerospace Defense Command issued the following news release:

The commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command announced the Alaska NORAD Region as the Partridge-Slemon Award winner for 2009.

The Partridge-Slemon Award is presented annually to recognize the outstanding NORAD directorate, region, or sector; Air Force Space Command warning unit or other contributing unit in suppor . . .
