SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Aug. 4 -- The Illinois Department of Human Services issued the following news release:
For the first time ever in Illinois, there are more than 780,000 families receiving Food Stamps (now known as SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
