MANKATO, Minn., June 24 -- The city of Mankato issued the following news release:

Gov. Tim Pawlenty has appointed Mark Knoff, Mankato's director of public works, to the state's Clean Water Council.

Knoff, who has a doctorate from Purdue University, is responsible for Mankato's wastewater treatment and water treatment plants, transportation services, infrastructure, parks, and garbage and recycling collection. Knoff, a registered professional engineer, . . .
