OTTAWA, Ontario, June 23 - The government of Canada issued the following news release:

Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond presented earlier today, for the first time, the Governor General's Award in Celebration of the Nation's Table during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
