LANSING, Mich., April 26 -- Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm, D-Mich., issued the following proclamation:
Whereas, As spring draws closer, children begin to play on playgrounds more often, increasing the percentage of injuries that occur from April through June; and,
Whereas, Each year, more than 200,000 children are injured on playgrounds in the United States, which averages one playground-related emergency room visit every two and a half minutes; and,
