WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif. (47th CD), issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47) today joined Reps. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Judy Biggert (R-IL), and over 50 other original co-sponsors in re-introducing the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in the U.S. House. If ratified, the ERA would amend the U.S. Constitution to guarantee that equal rights cannot be denied to any individual because of their sex. In anticipation of the bill . . .
