LIVERMORE, Calif., Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory issued the following newsletter:

Employees can help reduce the Laboratory's telecommunication costs by avoiding calls to 411 directory assistance.

A recent review of telecom vendor charges conducted by Information and Communication Services (ICS) indicates that the per call charge for off site directory assistance has more than tripled over a 12 month perio . . .
