MINNEAPOLIS, July 11 -- University of Minnesota issued the following news release:
On July 11, 2007, Golden Gopher football coach Tim Brewster led media members on a guided tour of an empty parking lot which was to become the University of Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium. One year later, significant construction progress has been made and Minnesota's new, 50,000 seat outdoor on-campus stadium is on schedule to open for the first game on Sept. 12, 2009 vs. Air Force Academy.
