BURLINGTON, Vt., Aug. 27 -- The University of Vermont issued the following news release:

A new five-year, $1.25 million grant from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute will allow Bradley Palmer, Ph.D., research assistant professor of molecular physiology and biophysics, to closely examine the role of zinc in the relaxation processes of individual heart muscle cells known as cardiomyocytes.
