AUGUSTA, Maine, Dec. 10 -- The Democratic majority in the Maine State Senate issued the following news release:

State Senator Barry Hobbins (D-York) has been appointed by Senate President Libby Mitchell (D-Kennebec) to serve on the Governor's Ocean Energy Task Force.

"This task force represents an excellent opportunity for Maine to set the foundation for its energy future," said Hobbins. "I am excited at the prospect of what we can accomplish."
