FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., June 26 -- The University of Arkansas issued the following news release:
Blueberries, grapes and other pigment-rich fruits contain high levels of antioxidant compounds that offer significant defenses against cancer, heart disease and other ailments. But antioxidant levels decline when the foods are processed for juices and other products, or when stored without refrigeration.
