HALIFAX, Canada, Dec. 22 -- Nova Scotia Power issued the following news release:
A severe winter storm and heavy winds are causing power outages throughout Nova Scotia.
The storm that brought heavy winds well in excess of 100 km/h and blowing snow in many parts of the province will continue through much of the province today. According to Environment Canada, Yarmouth recorded Hurricane force winds of more than 120 km/h and similar levels between 110 km/h and 120 km/ . . .
