TOPEKA, Kan., Dec. 12 -- Washburn University issued the following news release:
The exhibit "China Before Mao: Through the Lens of a Flying Tigers Photographer" will be on display at the Mulvane Art Museum Feb. 7 through March 22, 2009.
A Topeka native, William Lyman Dibble (1923-2004), served as a member of the 4th Photo Tech-US Army attached to Claire Chennault's Flying Tigers and the Chinese Army from 1943-45. The Flying Tigers played a major role . . .
