LAKE CHARLES, La., April 4 -- McNeese State University issued the following news release:
B. F. "Bernie" Burns, who served 13 years as the McNeese State football equipment manager, passed away on April 4 surrounded by his family.
During his tenure at McNeese, Burns served under head football coaches Kirby Bruchhaus, Bobby Keasler and Sonny Jackson.
Funeral services will be handled by Hixson Brothers of Sulphur. Visitation at the funeral ho . . .
