MONTGOMERY, Ala., Dec. 12 -- Alabama State University issued the following news release:
Chato McCormick has been the professor of low brass at Florida A&M University since the fall of 2005.
A native of Valdosta, Ga., he received his Bachelor of Music Education from Alabama State University in 2002. He studied euphonium with Demondrae Thurman, one of the most recognized euphonium players in the world.
