VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Dec. 5 -- American Baptist Churches USA issued the following news release:
Walter Bryan Pulliam, long-time American Baptist servant, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 26.
Walt, as he was known, was born in Elvins, MO, in 1925 to Stella and Walter L. Pulliam. At age seventeen, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, and was the nose gunner on the first plane over Nagasaki after the atom bomb drop. It made a life-long impression of the devasta . . .
