SONS OF IRAQ REGISTRATION KICKS OFF IN DIYALA

DIYALA, Iraq, Dec. 6 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
Local Iraqi nationals lined up and waited for hours to become registered members of the Sons of Iraq while at a registration station at Forward Operating Base Gabe, in Diyala, Iraq, Dec. 4.
More than 300 local Iraqis showed up for the registration, put together by Coalition forces and the Iraqi Army.
