KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Dec. 5 -- The U.S. Army Special Operations Command issued the following news release:
Afghan National Security Forces and Coalition forces killed 10 militants after they attacked a Coalition base with rocket-propelled grenades and machine-gun fire in Nar Surkh district, Helmand province Dec. 3.
The combined forces positively identified the militant fighting position and responded with mortar fire, killing the 10 militants.
