GALVESTON, Texas, Dec. 5 -- The University of Texas Medical Branch issued the following news release:
The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston announced Friday that preliminary samples taken during post-hurricane testing of air and water quality indicated a small amount of Legionella bacteria in the water supply of John Sealy Hospital.
The bacterium occurs naturally in fresh water, but typically at levels insufficient to cause illness in the general popul . . .
