WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- The U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies issued the following news release:
The United States has increased the amount of aid it is sending to help Haiti recover from four tropical storms.
Of the $9 million in new aid, $2 million is for infrastructure repairs. Because many roads and bridges were wiped out by the storms, the movement of relief supplies has been difficult, especially to remote areas.
