LISLE, Ill., Oct. 4 -- Benedictine University issued the following news release:
Benedictine University's contest at Aurora University on Saturday was supposed to make history in that it marked the first-ever weekend of football competition among teams from the Northern Athletics Conference. Instead, the game semed to follow recent history as the Spartans clipped the Eagles by a 31-7 score.
It marked the 14th time in the past 15 years that AU has emerged on top . . .
