EL PASO, Texas, Nov. 11 -- The University of Texas at El Paso issued the following news release:
Nurses are vital to providing quality health care, but more than half the states in the nation have an insufficient number of nurses. In Texas alone, about 20,000 nursing jobs went unfilled in 2007; and that number is expected to rise to more than 70,000 by 2020.
