BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 13 -- The Shelby County School District issued the following news release:
Helena Intermediate School will not open on Tuesday due to additional environmental test results that are still pending. According to Assistant Superintendent of Operations Tom Ferguson, the school is still awaiting environmental test results that were done over the weekend following a second cleaning of the cafeteria.
