RIVER FALLS, Wis., Sept. 12 -- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls issued the following news release:
The Falcon soccer team opened its WIAC season with a 4-1 loss to Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field.
Defending WIAC champion Eau Claire, currently ranked second in the NCAA Div. III Central Region rankings, pressured the Falcons throughout the first half. EC's strong ball control kept the action in the RF zone for much of the first 45 minutes. . . .
