PROVIDENCE, R.I., Sept. 2 -- The Rhode Island Secretary of State issued the following news release:
We are urging the state's major employers to host voter registration drives on the job site leading up to the October 4 deadline for registering to vote in November's election.
"We want to make it easier for Rhode Islanders to register. Taking voter registration to the factory floor, the office and Main Street is simply another way to respond to the nee . . .
