OKLAHOMA CITY, July 1 -- The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center issued the following news release:
Swimming pools are a great way to beat the Oklahoma heat, but extreme caution needs to be exercised when using pool chemicals, as they are very caustic substances.
"The poison center receives hundreds of calls each year related to pool chemicals such as chlorine tablets, pool shock treatments and chlorine, or chloramine gas generated by improperly mixin . . .
