WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski, D-Pa. (11th CD), released the following op-ed:
I strongly believe that we must work to strengthen Social Security as a safety net for all Americans. The federal government must live up to the promises it made to millions of working and retired Americans - that their Social Security checks will arrive as expected. While there is no question that Social Security faces increased challenges, these are problems that we can overcome.
