KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 24 -- The city of Kansas City issued the following news release:
City Manager Wayne A. Cauthen announced today that the City of Kansas City, Mo., was one of 10 communities in the nation to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Justice through a program for local mental health courts. The grant will provide nearly $200,000 over two years to train court personnel, add legal services and increase staffing.
