CHICAGO, Sept. 26 -- North Park University issued the following news release:

Tough running by senior Jacob Mueller, and an opportunistic defense led by the strong play of freshmen, powered the Vikings to a 35-10 Homecoming victory over Benedictine.

Mueller, a native of Crystal Lake and a graduate of Prairie Ridge, ran for 98 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns. The defense forced six turnovers and repeatedly gave the offense good field position.
