TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 25 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:
Despite getting some solid play on both sides of the ball, the Virginia Tech Hokies couldn't overcome losing two quarterbacks to injury and Florida State's big plays, and fell to No. 24-ranked Seminoles 30-20 in an ACC game played in front of 81,876 fans at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
