WASHINGTON, Nov. 19 -- Rep. Sam Farr, D-Calif. (17th CD), issued the following press release:
More than 1 million eligible veterans have received a 46 percent bump in mileage reimbursement for travel to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities.
The mileage reimbursement rate has increased from 28.5 to 41.5 cents per mile. This follows a rate increase from 11 to 28.5 cents in January 2008. Both increases were the result of historic VA funding increases . . .
