RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 13 -- Virginia Commonwealth University issued the following news release:

It was the largest crowd in VCU's Sports Backers Stadium history and it got exactly what it came for as the Virginia Commonwealth University men's soccer team captured a thrilling 3-1 victory over in-state rival Virginia on Saturday night.
Over 1,800 people saw the Rams march to the win as the Black and Gold now improve to 2-3-0 on the season, while the Cavaliers fall to 2-3-0.
