COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa., Nov. 17 -- The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith issued the following news release:

In a span of only 11 seasons, the once fledgling University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Lady Lions have become the most dominant volleyball program in the history of the Bi-State Conference and NJCAA Region II.

They've won eight conference championships and six region tournament championships and earned six trips to the NJCAA national tournament.
