ALLENTOWN, Pa., Sept. 26 -- Lehigh County issued the following news release:

Jill Slivka, an assistant to Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham, was one of three military spouses interviewed by Michelle Obama and Jill Biden Wednesday at Cedar Crest College in Allentown.

Slivka, 31, of Cherryville, told the standing-room-only crowd about the challenges she faced on the home front when her husband, Mike, a Marine sergeant, was deployed to Iraq for a year in 2006.
